What others are saying about Harvest Stone Ministries and it's founder, Rev. Mark Muckler.
"For most of my life in full-time ministry, I felt like I was constantly living in a whirlwind. Ministry consumed me at the expense of my own relationship with Jesus. I ended up with a large, impactful ministry, but not much of a personal life. Many days my life felt like nothing more than rearranging the deck chairs on the sinking Titanic of my life. Pastors and ministry leaders, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of Harvest Stone Ministries. The care on opportunities that Pastor Mark offers are key opportunities for you to find rest and refreshment for your soul".

"Harvest Stone Ministries truly is a means a grace. Mark created and facilitated a retreat for spiritual renewal with impeccable timing. During a season of intensive ministry my mind, body, and soul were nearly exhausted. Mark, through gifts of hospitality, exhortation, and compassion gave me the space needed to find rest, renewal, and inspiration that enabled me to faithfully return to the place of my calling with a renewed sense of God’s presence along with revived physical and mental energy. I recommend Harvest Stone Ministries to any clergy person seeking personal renewal."

This is a letter of reference for Mark Muckler, who I have known for nearly 20 years. I first met Mark when he was attending The Walk to Emmaus weekend retreat (where I was the spiritual director), and I learned quickly during those three days that he was an individual seeking a deep and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. In the months that followed, I was honored to continue our friendship as he explored his call into ordained ministry. Mark and I have remained friends and fellow pastors during these succeeding years.
Mark is deeply rooted in Christ, and has a passion for helping others develop and grow in their own relationship with Him. He is intelligent, wise, well-educated and experienced. He is affable, approachable and has a love of people. Mark is also a wonderful teacher and communicator. And like all effective educators, he is always longing to learn more. I have noted over the years that Mark consistently seeks out and attends new opportunities for learning, always seeking to grow in his own spiritual journey.

But what I believe is most important in making Mark a great candidate for a Spiritual Director is his passion for Jesus Christ. He truly wants others to know and experience the love and grace of Christ for themselves. This passion, combined with Mark’s experience and gifts for ministry, will make him a wonderful spiritual director for others. I wholeheartedly offer my recommendation of Mark to you.

"Thank you so much for your prayers and financial assistance. We are mostly single income with a kiddo and things have been very tight. Your financial blessing allowed us to take a trip that would have been otherwise impossible. This time allowed us to draw closer together and closer to God in a rough season. Praise God folks are willing to step up to help those in need! Blessings."

“Reverend Mark Muckler has been a steady spiritual presence, a pastor, a friend, and a brother in my life for the last almost 20 years. His dedication to the Gospel and the Church has been unwavering. He serves the community with all his gifts and he keeps his eyes on the prize, Christ himself. I’ve never encountered a better disciple, servant, or leader than Mark.”

"It was a real pleasure to take part in the Harvest Stone Ministries Clergy and Spouse Retreat this past week in Salter Path. It was extremely helpful to shed the day-to-day cares for a few days and focus on restoration and rejuvenation. The devotionals and times of introspection along with the extended periods of thoughtful rest made us more aware of our own relationship with our God and with our spouse. New friendships were formed as well, making this retreat an over-the-top experience that will last a lifetime.
We look forward to serving alongside you at some point in the future. Thank you for listening to the Spirit’s call and providing a safe place of peace and rest for clergy couples.

"Thank you Mark and Jill and Lily for pouring out yourselves to be in ministry with us on this weekend. I came pretty empty in my spirit- feeling burned out and giving too much of myself away in ministry. As always, Jesus has an answer for that. I'm glad you began and ended our time with Holy Communion because it was a tangible, sacramental way to receive once again all the love Christ wants to pour over our parched souls! Watching the example of how Jill and Lily and Ann served behind the scenes was also a blessing! I look forward to staying in touch with our new friends in Christ. Probably the most impactful time was going through our “Thanksgiving" and sharing that out loud with each other! I am thankful for the call God has placed on your heart, and I hope he blesses you as much as he has us!"

"Mark responds to the needs of pastors and their families out of the deep well of his pastoral experience and spiritual depth. He cares deeply about clergy and what they and their families often endure while trying to faithfully serve God and their congregations. He is a trusted confidant, counselor, and fellow clergy who feels called by God to do this important work of being there for them."
